Tommy Holcomb’s music career is extensive. He began learning piano and music theory at the age of six, and over the years performed both as a single singer and with popular bands in venues from smoky bars to large arenas.
Shortly after graduation from the University of Virginia, Tommy ventured into advertising and found that he had a natural ability for musical production and creativity, along with a certain advertising savvy.
He formed Tommy Holcomb Productions in 1975 and has won a lot of awards along the way, including first place honors at both the Chicago Film Festival and the New York Outside Art Directors Show, a special advertisers’ award for Best Music in the State of Florida, Telly awards, and numerous Addy awards throughout the U.S.
He also wrote and scored the music for a Clio-winning TV commercial and created the post-score for a video that won Best Documentary at the Blue Ridge Film Festival.
Tommy has operated his business from Atlanta, Nashville, and his hometown of Roanoke, VA. He has amassed thousands of hours of recording experience in major studios while working with some of the top talent in the country.
He now handles most jobs at his own digital recording studio in Roanoke while utilizing his many contacts in larger cities.
